Cluedo, the game of whodunnit that’s gripped generations is stepping off the board and onto the stage! Tickets go on sale today for the Brisbane season of the much-loved play which premieres at QPAC in January 2026, before travelling to Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre, Her Majesty’s Theatre in Adelaide and Theatre Royal Sydney throughout 2026.

Based on the fan-favourite 1985 Paramount Pictures movie, Clue and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game that is the 5th highest selling board game of all time, Cluedo is the ultimate whodunnit that will leave you dying of laughter and keep you guessing until the final twist.

Cluedo is to be directed by Luke Joslin, who most recently directed the critically acclaimed and sell-out production of Grease for Crossroads Live, and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In The Heights, currently playing at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne.

“Aussies know and love comedy, and there is none better than Cluedo. This brand new, all Australian production is sure to tickle you until it hurts,” said Director Luke Joslin.

Luke graduated from the University of Western Sydney and the Actors’ College of Theatre and Television. His professional acting career spans over 15+ years. He has been nominated for both Green Room and Helpmann awards. In 2010 he won the Helpmann for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for Avenue Q. Directorial credits include: The Grandparent’s Club (Maree Kirkland-Morris & Lyndi Adler); Grease in 2024 (John Frost for Crossroads Live); In the Heights (Hayes Theatre/Sydney Opera House), for which he was nominated for a 2018 Sydney Theatre Award for Best Direction of a Musical; Songs for a New World (Blue Saint Productions); Back to the 80’s – the Musical (Neil Gooding Productions); Giggle and Hoot and Friends (ABC4 Kids); Educating Rita (Seymour Centre); Thank You For Being a Friend (Henderson/Neil Gooding Productions); Bells are Ringing (Neglected Musicals presented by Hayes Theatre Company).

Luke was Resident Director on Peter Pan Goes Wrong (Lunchbox Theatricals); and was nominated for a 2019 Helpmann award for Best Director of a Musical for In the Heights. He was the Revival Director on Otello (Opera Australia), and Resident Director on both the national tours of Shrek: The Musical (Gordon Frost Organisation), and Cinderella (Opera Australia//Gordon Frost Organisation). Most recently Luke directed Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights.

Cluedo – also known as Clue in the US – has played on stage in the US and the UK to great success and sell out shows.

The film Clue is regarded as a cherished cult classic and featured a stellar cast including Tim Curry, Lesley Ann Warren, Christopher Lloyd and Madeleine Kahn.

Audiences will join the suspicious and slightly eccentric dinner guests Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs Peacock, Mr Green and Mrs White as they arrive at Boddy Manor for a night they’ll never forget! Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife? Or was it Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench? One thing’s certain, everyone has something to hide.

This fast-paced, farcical comedy-thriller is a killer night of entertainment for fans of the board game, lovers of classic mysteries, and anyone who enjoys a good laugh with their larceny.

Grab your trench coat, channel your inner detective, and prepare for an evening of deadly fun! Casting announcements will be made in the coming months.
